I got this item for my dad since he has a very much older model truck that doesn't have anywhere to place to put a cell phone (or anything for that matter). So far it has withstood the hot/humid and cold/chilly wacky weather that the south has, the suction cup has not come off nor gave any indication of doing so. My dad's phone fits semi perfectly (the case is a bit large), and he is in love with being able to do hands free while on speaker vs holding his hand to his head to talk. For someone with an older car/truck/suv without hands free calling this would be the perfect mount to get or to give as a present! *I got this item for a honest review.
