I've found this knee brace holds pretty decent on a larger persons leg/knee, it's very flexibly so it moves with your body motions. It has a soft centered material in the middle where the circle is that is placed on your knee for added protection while you are wearing it on your daily routine. It does slide a a bit if you have larger legs/knees since it does not have grips to help hold it in place, this is why it got 4 stars. Though this is still a very good knee brace to have if you have knee problems. *I was sent this item for a honest review
