I ordered this to add to my collection of toys, and this is one of the better ones I've ordered in the past year or so. The material is a very flexible rubber type material that stretches as you twist/turn. I was impressed by the vibration speeds, and the pulsation. The beads do vibrate as you are using it, that makes a very nice sensation! It takes 4 AA batteries, and so far I've been able to use this for 4 times (approx 5 min or so) while using Dollar Tree batteries. Another perk to this is it's waterproof, which makes for even more pleasure! I used mine in the shower (under running water, not sumerged) while having playtime with my husband. The insertion is roughly as long as a normal ball point pen (featured below). I received this product in exchange for an honest review.
