These are very handy locks! So far they have been very durable from a under 1 year baby who has jerked, and pulled as hard as he could on them to get into our entertainment system. The fabric does not stretch, it is a solid nylon type fabric. The sticky pad is on both the top and the bottom of the locks, that has a protective cover on it before use to save the sticky. The lock itself is easy to unlatch, press down the button then pull outwards. My son has already tried to unlatch it this way, and has not had any luck doing so. You do have to put a little bit of force on the press down button, but not a lot those with hand/wrist issues couldn't use these. *I got this item for a honest review.
