I got this tent for my son who loves to play with his plastic balls since his previous one was an infant one that he grew out of. This tent is mad of pretty good material, well enough to last through him learning how to turn it over and crawl out the top! The fish net is very small squares, so unless there is a hole there is not chance of a finger being caught in it. There are two holes, one on the side where the child crawls into which has a blue flap that you can unlatch to cover the hole to keep a child in or out. Though it's just snapped with velcro so it would be easy to snap/unsnap it. The next hole is the one on top that is well enough large to put toys into or if your in a standing position place your child into the middle of the pit to have play time. The only downside I've found for myself is I wish the bottom of the pit had more stability support due to my child leaning it over and crawling out of the top. Its visually pleasing with different colors, and a few designs around the sides. On the opposite side of the side door there is a one eyed smiley face that looks like it's watching your child. *I got this item for a honest review.
