This is very easy to use, and operate. The medium scale screen allows users to see what temp they are at, and if the piece of eatery is done or needs more attention. This uses both Celsius and Fahrenheit so either way you are good to go. The poker portion is around 5 inches so you can poke through even the largest of meats to secure your temps. It has the ability to set certain degrees that has an alarm feature to let you know when it reaches the exact point your looking for. It does not come apart, but is still very easy to clean. Simply take a sponge slide it up and down the poker, rinse off (not rinsing the black box), and dry with a paper towel.
