This is a fairly sturdy device to use, though it can be on the heavy side for those who might have issues picking up things. It's a simple easy to use instruction, by placing the egg in the bottom try (I think we decided it needed to be an XL egg to work better), the small pointy end is facing up towards the top, then you put the top of the egg cracker on it. When it's placed directly on the top of the pointy end, you lift the ball up then let go. The force of the ball hitting the top of the pointy end through the top causes a cracking effect for boiled eggs. You may have to do it a couple times, for our large eggs we had to about 4ish times to get the nice crack. Overall its a handy device to have in your kitchen!
